I realize there are one too many of these missed opportunity loves but... I was playing soccer (part of the green team) out in Burnside on Tuesday evening when you complimented a shot I took. From the depths of my imagination all I could muster was a "thanks" but if you ever read this I just want you to know that I thought you were gorgeous and got a buzz from your personality/attitude. —Didn't Score

A big thank you to all of you who helped out when we witnessed the cat being hit by a car yesterday on Windmill. The man with the shovel, the ladies in the cars with the bags and gloves and the lady who knew the owner and went to go get her. And to all your drivers who didn't even honk the horn when we were tying up traffic while he lay in the street before we got him to the side of the road. Not sure if the guy with the guy was a friend or not but thanks to you too for getting your car and taking her and the cat to the vet. Hopefully they could help him out.
When I called to get Animal Control on site ASAP when we didn't have an owner and wanted help for this poor injured animal, the call centre agent was great. I called back to let them know the owner had arrived and was on the way to the vet I got the same agent—thank you for a speedy response for dispatching the officer.
To the poor fur-mom, my thoughts are with you and your cat. I came home and hugged my two furbaby boys and swore never to let them outside, ever.
Of course a big LTWWB to the jerk who hit the poor cat and drove away... you suck! Everyone else is great! —Love the People Who Love the Cat

Dearest Aeris, every morning I wake up you are the first thing I see, you are so beautiful my love. You mean everything to me. I am truely so very lucky because no matter how long and terrible a day can be, I always know I'll be coming home to see your beautiful smile, and nothing is more perfect. I love you Aeris, more and more every time I wake to your smile. —Altair

You were the beautiful, dark-haired woman in a black top and jeans with your friend on the patio of a Spring Garden Road restaurant Monday evening, and (I think) eyeing me one table over; I was with my friend (not on a date). I thought of sending a drink or a note, but am sadly not so smooth. But if you're free next Monday, I'll look for you at the same place and introduce myself! —Shaved Head at the Fire Table

I have recently been bicycling often to get back in shape and enjoy the outdoors. It has been years and years since I have driven a bicycle so I am still a little nervous and sometimes shaky. I just wanted to say thank you to all of the pleasant drivers and pedestrians who put up with my "on and off the sidewalk" routine and my slow pace. Thanks everyone! —Cycling Slowly

You've been there for some of the hardest parts of my life and also the best. You are my father and I love you. You were even there to wipe up my tears after my car was keyed. Thank you for always being there and being able to be calm in the crisis-type moments. I may be almost 30 but I will always need my dad. —Daddy's Girl

I had a great time swapping bird shit & puking stories with you Saturday night. I didn't want to get all awkward at the end of the night so I wrote my # down on a piece of paper when Patrick Swayze asked us to leave.
A) I hope you got the #
B) I hope you call/text me
C) All of the above

Dear postal delivery guy: You are awesome. You deliver my weird and heavy things without complaints, and you always have a cookie for my little pup! She is spoiled now for anyone carrying a shoulder bag because she wants some lovin'! Thanks for knowing I moved one address down so I didn't have to redirect my mail, and thanks for explaining the impending strike so I didn't freak out. I am moving, so I am going to miss your awesome service. I hope I can move back onto your route again in the fall. —Little Black Dog's Mom
