I want everything that you want. You are everything that I hold dear and respect. I could not have imagined someone as perfect as you. You are actually (no... ACTUALLY) the most beautiful, attractive person I've ever seen and the way you look at me sometimes makes me want to marry you and grow old with you, treasuring every second with you. Wherever I am, I always wish you where there with me. I want to laugh, cry, fight with you and watch our kids grow up and hold your hand when you die (or I die, whatever, hope it would be me first though). I don't know if you know it or not but I would love you as much as anyone ever could and it wouldn't be shitty love, it would be perfect love. It can't happen, and I accept this... but god fucking damn. —Whew

The cops! Bless 'em. They have just taken us through the stormy waters of ridding ourselves of a noxious guttersnipe who took up residence in our house as an invited guest, then turned on us all and wouldn't move out. It's taken months and hundreds of wasted police time to deal with this person. The Halifax Police have been professional, kind and stalwar; there when we needed them with endless patience and have really been all-round heroes. Thanks guys. —Old Lady on Brunswick St

You shimmy, you snake, you magnetize me with your lovely bellies. You are Halifax's many talented belly dancers. Your skill is outstanding, and you are an absolute joy to behold! I am enthralled with you all and I will be seeing you Sunday! I am very proud you call Halifax home! —Belly Lover

To my amazing best friend who never fails to surprise me with post cards, care packages and lots of love. Although we are far apart you always find a way to make me feel so special and loved! You are the most thoughtful and amazing friend a gypsy could ask for! Love always... —Your Fellow Gypsy

Big thanks to the gentlemen who walked me to my bike after the club on Sunday night. You really completed the night and I couldn't stop smiling or laughing while trying to find your bike. Hope I wasn't too much to handle and that we bump into each other again in the next two weeks. —Cruiser Girl

I keep running into you around this city. Just wanted to say that I think you are stunning. You have a gorgeous smile and a sweet laugh. I don't know if I'm on your radar, or if you've caught me stealing glances, but you are seriously too stunning! Thanks for making this city a little bit more beautiful. —A Lady Who Also Loves Plaid

To the lovely cashier working at a store on Barrington Street, thank you so much for being so kind to me. I was so embarrassed when I looked up and realized I was in the express lane with way too many items but you were super sweet and made me feel much better about my (stupid) mistake. I don't usually shop at that location but maybe now I will! —Embarrassed Grocery Shopper

It's because of your inconsistency and aloofness that I stopped searching for unicorns and saw the perfectly adorable horse right in front of me. Thank you. —Cherry Mocha

Trying to get out of a Dartmouth subdivision on Saturday night—no idea which way to go and every street looks the same—but fortunately you drove up behind me and could tell from my crappy confused driving I was lost. I pulled over to let you go by, but you stopped and asked where I was trying to go and told me to follow you and you'd get me there. If it weren't for you, I'd probably still be driving in circles. Thanks! You are a very helpful person and I sure did appreciate it. —Halifax Nitwit Who Needs a GPS

After Hub-Unit's brother's funeral yesterday, we visited our niece and nephew. H-U fell flat on his back as we were leaving... weirdly enough, it straightened out his back from his last fall which left him unable to stand up straight for months. He said it almost felt like someone pushed him backwards on the shoulder and his first thought was 'It doesn't hurt anymore!' Maybe H-U's big brother's energy was just giving him a helping hand. I'd sure like to think so. —We Loves You Ronster
