Friend, I'm sorry I did not accept your cup! What you couldn't see from the stoop was that I had just absentmindedly shaken a very full 2L bottle of cranberry juice, while failing to realise that the lid wasn't on tightly. How fitting that on Hallowe'en my kitchen ended up looking like a bloodbath.

I never knew how good I had it at the North End Public Library until the day I strayed. But now I love you more than ever!
