Thank you to all the amazing people who came out to the Commons yesterday and night!! and to the Police who were EXTREMELY awesome in respecting our rights as common people, and treating us like people, not just some alternative kids trying to start a ruckus. even late at night with fire and drum circles... I think they are getting to know and like our peaceful family.
The day started early afternoon with some hooping, poi, rope dart, staff, baked goods to support cancer research, painting our evolve flag, and people, drums, guitars, beautiful music, People and to finish off, some fire.. thank you to all. I love you. You are who make this happen.
To all who read this.. every Sunday at noon till sleep time. come out to the commons to enjoy some beautiful people, insight, art and music. you wont be disappointed. —Druncan St. Cheese Factory Trifecta

I would like to say thank-you to the family I served for being so understanding when I *accidentally* spilled a glass of pop on their table and some landed on them when I was balancing a tray of drinks. (It was my first time ever spilling a drink during my 2 years of serving).
Accident or not, some assholes would have lost it on me. But *you* just laughed and joked around a bit (and still gave me a decent tip).
(PS. Had you been visibly upset, I would have definitely compensated you for it, either by giving you a discount of some sort or paying for your dry-cleaning or something. But I did take your drinks off the bill because I figured you deserved something for taking the drink spill so well.)
Also, I'd like to thank the many customers who have patiently waited when it was insanely busy, especially those who have told me "You deserve this, you worked your ass off and did a good job" when giving me a tip.
Anyway, tip or no tip, any customers that treat me with any amount of respect (and take into consideration that a lot can happen in a restaurant that is out of my control) make my job more tolerable (and sometimes enjoyable). —Hard-working Server

To the girl who was kind enough to share her umbrella with me at the bus stop. Sorry I didn't say thank you. I really appreciated your act of kindness. —Swept away in the rain

You are a total sweetheart and I was happy to help you the other evening. It was last minute but really nice to spend some time. I never realized how much we had in common, seeing all your things as we packed them up... and our quick break was the best!
I'm really gonna miss you; even though we're just friends I care about you tons. I know we'll stay good buds. Hugs! —Takes the Stairs Girl

You were carrying an armload of ass-wipe and I was just leaving after a failed attempt to get a birthday card. It was 11:30pm and you seem to be having the same exciting Friday night I was having.
I think you smirked in my direction and when I drove by you in my Echo I chickened out and didn't look at you. It was too dark to really see your face but you certainly walked nice.
Hope you weren't suffering from a bad case of the runs. Hmmm, bad pick-up line... —X

I am a nursing student. As such, I have clinicals which require me to be awake at ungodly hours. I also happen to be car-less, and rely entirely on Metro Transit to get me to the hospitals for 6:45am.
Luckily for me, the 80 goes by my place at roughly 6:27am. Over the course of my summer clinical, I caught this bus with its same driver and same passengers, getting off at the same stop, saying my obligatory "thank you" each time.
One morning I was running late. As I ran down the stairs of my apartment building and looked down the road, I could see the 80 coming toward me, already past my stop. I sighed in defeat, until.. miraculously.. the bus driver pulled the bus over so I could get on. Amazing! Never have I ever known a bus driver to do such a thing! I must have thanked him twenty times before sitting down, beaming. A few days later, I was running late again. I ran down the stairs of my apartment, and saw the 80 sitting at the stop. I walked toward it, expecting it to pull away, but no.. There it sat. And waited. "Not for me", I thought. I reached the bus, paid my fare, thanked the driver.. And the bus pulled away.
I couldn't believe it. This bus driver, with his hundreds of passengers a day, remembered me, noticed when I wasn't there, and waited. So, this is a great big giant THANK YOU to the moustached driver of the first 80 in the morning. I appreciate your kindness, and your patience did not go unnoticed.
P.S. Yesterday an 80 drove by me later in the morning. It was this driver, and wouldn't you know it - he waved to me! :) —Heather
Just wanted to comment on how much I loved the weather Wednesday... Pouring rain all day.
I'm one of the few people that actually would be happy if it rained every day. No one seems to get that, but it's okay. It doesn't mean I'm depressed. I just always feel happiest when it's raining. —Who needs an umbrella?
You've heard the term "meaner than a junkyard dog"... well all of you I encountered at the recycling centres as I clean out 10 years of accumulated stuff were great:
-Keeping the shop open for an extra 10 minutes so I can drop off some broken electronic stuff.
-Greeting me with a smile and good explanation of how the place works - and then giving me $12 for handing over my metal junk.
Helping me move my construction debris into the right spot.
Thanks for the positive experiences. —Former pack-rat
