I was scrunched up, wrestling with the tire gauge and valve stem at the gas station. A young woman walked by and asked "All OK?" She saw from my face I was struggling. She plopped right down and joined in wrestling. I figured she worked there. After some minutes filling the tires and getting weird gauge readings, she said she had one at home. She didn’t work there, she was just walking by! She brought back tools and a good gauge, and we finally got the right amount of air in those recalcitrants. Thank you wonderful person! It WAS the valve stems! Welcome to Halifax, we are so fortunate to have you here. You will be an awesome nurse!

Sorry for stepping on your heel! I was obnoxiously distracted by my phone, not paying attention to my surroundings, and didn't even see you in front of me. I wanted to apologize, but you kept on walking and had headphones in. Hope your heel is healthy and your shoes are not scuffed up.

Just another Tuesday evening, laughing with a friend on the #1. We probably looked like fools. But still, some of you accepted the memes we airdropped, and the laughter grew from just us two, to a community of passengers on transit as a whole. Some of you even airdropped memes back. We were all strangers, still are, but in that moment I think we all felt the strength of our community, coming together, to laugh at funny photos.

Thanks again for being the right kind of weirdo! I've had the most emotionally draining week, and you made everything seem a little less bitter. If I weren't happily coupled I would have gladly let you hit on me. Perhaps in another dimension my doppleganger gave you a ride home and her number. In this dimension, I thank you for brightening my night and being a complete gentleman.

To the #7 bus driver on Tuesday afternoon: Sorry I jumped in to ask you if you could call transit dispatch and report a bus with serious mechanical problems. It was leaking a lot of smoking fluid all over Gottingen Street, and I kinda panicked and must have seemed intense with urgency. You seemed worried, maybe about your personal safety, and said no and drove on. I totally get it, and I wish I had been more composed, I know you already put up with all sorts of difficult situations every day on the job. Sorry!

Hey Mr. Postman: We stopped and talked two summers in a row on the steps to the beach. You had lots of time to spend there because of an injury. How about meeting again on Monday, September 23, rain or shine around 4pm?

Thank you to the person who picked up my bank card as I zipped out of the Main Street gas station off to Martinique Beach on Wednesday. After basking in the sun and floating in the waves, I went to buy a bottle of craft beer and discovered my bank card missing (thank you credit card for funding the beer on the deck). Usually my card is tucked somewhere and I discover it a few hours later, but this time I was baffled because I knew I had to take it out of the gas pump in order to start pumping gas. I almost didn't bother returning to the gas station but I am glad I did! The clerk was excited because she said she never gets to return lost cards and I jumped up and down for joy (literally). I don't know which of us was happier. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I would love it if you found my bike bag on September 5, and will return it for a reward of $200. Please help me get my life back if you picked it up off the road.

To the lesbian couple holding hands on Quinpool Road last Friday: I was walking to school and passed you on the sidewalk. As a closeted teenager, seeing you made acceptance feel like a reality.

Today I was let go from a terrible job, however I was still an emotional mess. My Macpass fell from my windshield due to the heat and I couldn't find it fast enough. The toll employee was not the most understanding person. But then YOU offered to pay for my toll. Thank you for showing me such kindness on a day when I needed it the most!
