How glorious to live in a city that can take you out on the water for $2.50 as a way to kick off/continue a big night out! And how extra-wondrous it is, when it's the last late ferry on a Friday, and there are beautiful people to meet willing to take a chance on random, Guinness-fueled dancing adventures with strangers. Thanks for entertaining us old guys, kiddo, and good luck on your LSATs. Too bad we didn't get your number, but perhaps we'll keep our eyes out for you on the boat in 2016. —Sazeracs-to-go

To the man in the red rain jacket behind me in line at Sobey's Wednesday evening with the wonderful smile. I really wish I had said something instead of smiling awkwardly, turning away and blushing. You may not have even noticed me, but I totally noticed you. Keep smiling :) —The curly haired girl in the pink rain jacket

To the NS Power Employee that went through great lengths to return a wallet and work gear they found. You are a wonderful and honest human being for bringing those items back to Turning Point. Thank you for being the good in the world. —Sincerely Grateful

When visiting Halifax earlier this year, I was on the airport express bus, five months pregnant and suffering from debilitating nausea. Third-hand smoke and some bumps in the road left me dry heaving with a plastic vomit bag at the ready. Without prompting, our driver stopped on the side of the road so I could get a breather and offered to let me rest as long as I needed. Even though we all had planes to catch, not one passenger objected, even after the driver offered me a second breather further down the highway. Thank you all for your amazing hospitality. It was a lovely way to end my trip! —New Mum in Toronto

This cat and mouse game we play, though exciting, is, to be blunt, driving me crazy. Life is short. We're not getting any younger. I'm crazy about you and I've gathered it’s mutual, yet we're both too bloody proud to make the first move... what to do? I hope one of us cracks. I hope I'm dancing across your brain like you are mine at night; that you're hoping the following day will be the day. I wish you knew how much I'd cherish you. Here's hoping I guess... —The Constant Gardener

I wish I did. When things are bad, you shut down. When things are going well, you're on edge, waiting for the fall. I know the last few years of accomplishments probably feel insignificant to recent struggles, but you should still be proud of everything you are. These demons will probably always be with you, but I truly hope you can find the peace in life that's so far eluded you, and that you so very much deserve. —Stay in touch
