If you prefer interactive entertainment to sitting quietly in your seat, TAG has just the play for you. A Spirit for Evermore is a traditional pantomime that encourages you to boo, hiss, clap and stomp. The merriment is led by Jimmy Jamms, played with verve and an aw-shucks cuteness by Andrea Ratcliff. The deal is that money is tight in the kingdom of Evermore, thanks to a no-good butler named Skulk (Lowell Shore, a gifted actor with a tremendous baritone voice) , so the lovely Princess Daisy (Christine Daniels) must marry the gormless but wealthy Lord Larry (a Red Buttonesque Rob McIntrye). But Daisy is in love with George (sweet-voiced Avery Brennan). With the help of the homely cook (Lorne Abramson in a hilarious turn in drag) there’s a happy ending. Along the way there are some entertaining musical numbers (especially a lovely duet between Daniels and Caitlyn Parsons as the Spirit) and terrific costumes. Fun for the whole family! –Kate Watson
