Art Talks: Bags Named After Women & Their Stories - Open Lounge

With just enough light to read, and chill afrobeat music played by Halifax's local DJ Ubuntu, the open lounge is where you arrive, settle in, and casually meet new people at your own pace. On this night, at 7pm, we'll start our very first Art Talks conversation with Lola of Ova Afrique about the origins of her bags, the stories behind them, and deeper topics like overcoming the feeling of being stuck. Co-hosted by Israel Ekanem of the BlackOut Podcast, the conversation will last about 30 - 45 minutes, be followed by a snack break, & deeper conversations.
