BIG in Nova Scotia

The MSVU Art Gallery was built in 1971 (crazy right? It doesn’t look a day over 20) and has gone through exhibits like I went through deep fried treats at Voodoo Doughnut in Portland, OR last week (guys, I’m worldly, I travel). This exhibit, BIG in Nova Scotia, responds to the Gallery’s sweet, yet possibly naive beginnings (aren’t they all?) with a selection of large works from the MSVU permanent collection that would probably go perfectly with a Cotton Candy doughnut squirreled away in your pocket for secret bites of heaven. Featuring artists: Lynn Donoghue, Frances Dorsey, Gathie Falk, Steve Higgins, Svava Juliusson, Charlotte Lindgren, Rebecca Roberts, Ron Shuebrook and Peter Walker. But no doughnuts... I don’t even think you’re supposed to bring food in art galleries. Sad face.
