Brahms: A German Requiem with Nova Sinfonia and Dalhousie Collegium Cantorum

Join us for a special collaboration between Nova Sinfonia and Dalhousie Collegium Cantoruman as we present Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem, one of the great choral-orchestral masterpieces of the Romantic era. Unlike the traditional Latin Requiem Mass, Brahms’ work is a deeply human meditation on grief, comfort, and hope, setting German biblical texts that speak directly to the living. Under the direction of conductor Gary Ewer, this moving performance brings together orchestra and chorus in a work of remarkable emotional depth and luminous warmth. We are delighted to welcome the Dalhousie Collegium Cantorum as our guest ensemble.
