Cake
Sylvia Calver's painting exhibition explores the way oil paint transforms any given surface. "Using traditional cake decorating methods, the artist has created a pseudo-psycho experience between the viewer and the paint. Through colour, thickness and ornamentation, the artist has activated decorative forms and placed them in the history of painting. Cake is a playful experience presenting to the viewer just how delicious oil paint can be," the gallery adds.
