Canadian Junior Baseball Championships

There's no crying in baseball, which makes this event guaranteed summer fun times. Touted as a Memorial Cup-style event (except, with less hockey), this tourney's a big deal that showcases the best in junior ballers (that's 17- to 21-year-olds) from across Canada. Taking place on fields in both Halifax and Dartmouth, this year's championships are a great oppourtunity to root root root for the home team, and get a glimpse of some the the up-and-coming baseball talents, before they hit the big time. —Allison Saunders
