CBC's tent in front of The Central Library continues to share local lit as part of the Word on the Street Festival. At 11am, famed Mi’kmaq Elder Daniel Paul (known for his iconic 1993 recount of Indigenous history in eastern Canada, titled We Were Not the Savages) shares from his latest work, Chief Lightning Bolt, which the fest describes as "a contemporary Mi’kmaq legend of the life of a great man, who becomes chief."
