Two shows by Cliff Eyland storm Hermes Gallery: The Queer Set is a collection of paintings based in imagination—not photos, memories or models—resulting in mysterious, questioning canvases. Opioid Wall Book, meanwhile, consists of digital photographs made with several programs and apps that depict the often horrifying visions the artist had during a recent recovery from a double lung transplant.
