CommUNITY w/N’neka Loren

Originally from Freeport, Bahamas, N’neka organized the popular Broken English spoken word series while attending Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. She has also been really involved in the CommUNITY series, hosting the 2011/2012 season and pulling out her poignant verse and impromptu humour. This show is presented in with Youth Voices of Nova Scotia and the late show will feature a special showcase of original poetry from youth involved with the Newsletter Project. Plus, DJ Regalia will lend music to the evening, and pianist Steve Henry will be at both shows to collaborate with poets on the open mic.
