Festival of Fear: An Evening of Grand Guignol

Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol in Paris offered naturalistic horror shows with a graphic, amoral bent from 1897 to 1962. Taboo Theatre is once again bringing three of these macabre tales to Halifax. This year it’s two dramas and a “deliciously dark” comedy: In the Darkroom, Chop-Chop! and Private Room #6. Last year’s production made my top 10 best plays of 2010, so I have high hopes that this will be an equally fun experience. –Kate Watson
