Glitch Workshop with Nathan Ryan

This workshop will build upon prior knowledge of the general workings of video formats. Freely available software will be introduced to allow participants to play with the nuts and bolts of video data. Through multiple strategies the aesthetic of glitch will be explored. Areas discussed will include specific types of image breakdown such as datamosh, databending and generational loss. Participants will explore how specific strategies and work patterns induce specific aesthetic experience.
