It's time to continue your love affair with this troubadour from Ontario, as he's performing at the Cohn this Friday for his recent releases of Meat and Milk. Recorded over the time it took Workman to separate himself from his major label, the tracks on Meat deliver (mostly) that raw Workman sound that shakes the ladies' knees, while Milk opens an unexpected door into a world of pop and electronica tunes. Workman's now free to self-produce, and used the opportunity to release Meat as an entire album in January, then Milk one single at a time up to its full-album release this month. It's a new time for Workman, and we're ready to see if the addiction to his dizzying voice is still as strong. –Holly Gordon
