The Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival announces what flicks it'll be screening at this year's event and helps hold over your indie movie cravings with a showing of Manic, a 2017 doc that sees a filmmaker attempt to uncover the truth about their father, "a man known alternately as a cult leader, a scam artist, a prophet and a father of 15 children around the world."
