This year’s program will honour the life and legacy of Holocaust survivor Helena Jockel (1919 - 2016), author of We Sang in Hush Voices. Her story of courage and resilience continues to inspire us and reminds us of the importance of bearing witness.
The evening will begin with a commemorative candle-lighting ceremony, followed by a special conversation featuring her granddaughter, Yolana Wassersug, in conversation with retired CBC radio broadcaster Olga Milosevich.
A reception will follow the program. Complementary copies of Helena’s memoirs, for attendees from the Azrieli Foundation.
