Ida has put her life on hold for for sister Daisy who suffers from undiagnosed
schizophrenia. Facing post-war struggles in rural Nova Scotia, Ida and Daisy try
to live in their childhood farmhouse day to day with the stigma and difficulty that Daisy’s illness brings. Touched by humour, love, kindness and finally an outreach from the community, Ida is faced with a decision only she can make.
