Legendary American folk singer John Prine is bringing his Canadian tour to Halifax for two Rebecca Cohn shows. Beginning his career in the early '70s with songs such as "Angel from Montgomery," Illegal Smile" and "Paradise," the singer/songwriter was first referred to as "the next Bob Dylan," and hasn't let his fans down in almost four decades. The raspy-voiced man in black has a new EP out, called Fair & Square, available on iTunes. If you don't already have your tickets, that'll be the only place you can hear his new work: both Halifax shows are sold out. –Holly Gordon
