Ladies' Night at Strange Adventures

All the ladies put your hands up if you love to nerd out but don't feel like it when there are dudes around. If that's you in a comic book nutshell, it's time to head out to Strange Adventures for the first ever ladies' night. "Whenever I talk to women about comics, it's usually met with the same response---tons of enthusiasm and a bit of trepidation," says Tiina Johns, who's organizing the event. "While I think that Strange Adventures is pretty inclusive and welcoming, traditionally comic shops can be awkward spaces for women or trans-people to be in." For this one night you can ask questions of the lady-only staff, browse away and "nerd out freely" without the guys, and with a supply of chocolate to keep you energized. –Holly Gordon
