Last Chants

When: May 13-June 4 2017

Nine artists who work in a shared space form the loose collective behind this group show. The thread tying them together? The space above the Army Navy Surplus Store on Agricola Street, where they have splattered paint for almost a decade. Here, the relation to art and the space it is made in is explored: "What does it mean to 'have space'? And how does that inflect a sense of 'having place'?" the joint statement asks.
