The 67th annual Maritime Fiddle Festival celebrates the art of fiddle playing! Not only does it feature live music performances throughout Dartmouth, it also includes a fiddle and step-dance competition and music workshops.

The festival has been around since the 1950s, and was "created to ensure the survival of one of Nova Scotia’s most recognizable styles of music," according to the festival's website. Help keep the tradition alive, and maybe pick up a new skill while you're at it.––Ashley Corbett
