HIFF wraps day 3 with this nod to the award-winning experimental filmmaker Matthew Rankin, screening a slew of his shorts that "have the uncanny ability to transcend reality while remaining rooted in historical facts; kind of like a 'Heritage Minute on acid'," the fest explains. The 10-flick primer of the animator/inventor/historian/filmmaker's aesthetic will have you prepared for his debut feature, slated to drop sometime this year.
