While you shouldn't need any convincing to spend a sunny afternoon at the Public Gardens, the mayor and council make a good case for a visit as the garden gets stuffed with living statues, giant game boards, crafting tables and a Victorian-era tea party. Live Music by The Mellotones and Frank MacKay round out the good times.
