Two teens find a boat on a small island in Arkansas’ Mississippi delta. Mud (Matthew McConnaughey), a dangerous yet charismatic drifter, has taken refuge in the boat until he can reunite with his former girlfriend, Juniper (Reese Witherspoon), and skip town to evade the law and some serious bounty hunters. Jeff Nichols’ coming-of-age drama is a Palme d'Or nominee.
