Noon-Hour Panel Series: Nova Scotia at the Time of Stonewall and Partial Decriminalization

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion and the partial decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada. However, as talk organizers offer, "the modern gay movement started well before Stonewall, P.E. Trudeau’s law reform was less than it seemed, and other social movements set the stage in Nova Scotia for the emergence of what became contemporary 2SLGBTQ+ activism. Join Robin Metcalfe and a panel of community historians as they consider the myths and realities of 1969 in queer history."
