"Legendary jazz saxophonist Joe McPhee is perhaps best known for his 1971 album Nation Time, a defining monument to the civil rights era. Since then, McPhee has continued to work, play and create with many of the world's free jazz vanguard, the heroic DIY punks and the spiritual troubadours across the globe," OBEY says of McPhee, who'll be playing an off-season OBEY show the following night at The Bus Stop theatre.
