This 2017 flick sees Setsuko (Shinobu Terajima in an Independent Spirit Award-nominated performance) attempting to shake up her dull life in Tokyo by enrolling in an unorthodox English class (part of the class requirements include a wig and an alter-ego named Lucy). She falls for her instructor—and when he stops showing up at class, travels halfway across the globe to find him, struggling to preserve Lucy in the process.
