Opera Backwards: a very queer show
The Halifax Summer Opera Festival tips its hat to Halifax Pride with this riff on Broadway Backwards, the annual NYC show where musical theatre numbers are given an LGBT twist. "Yeah, opera is pretty much super queer already, but you'll be amazed at what we come up with! Come and experience gay and lesbian stories told through the great arias and duets of opera and operetta, sung by the participants in the fourteenth annual Halifax Summer Opera Festival," event organizers say.
