Opera From Scratch Gala Concert
The weeklong workshop celebrating new operas closes with this concert of six mini-operas based on Nova Scotian history and culture. "This year's operas touch on the Halifax explosion, the Titanic, Maud Lewis, alien abduction, self-aggrandizing lobsters, the Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever," event organizers promise, noting the works will be performed by an international set of composers and singers.
