Preserving a Legacy: The Mi’kmaw Petroglyphs of Kejimkujik National Park/National Historic Site.

Tracing the history of Indigenous peoples of Nova Scotia, this lecture highlights the petroglyphs (aka rock carvings) of 19th century Mi’kmaw people residing in what we now called Kejimkujik National Park.
Possibly the first rock art sites recorded in Canada, these images are a rare glimpse into history. As the organizers describe it "they are an extensive artistic gallery of many aspects of Mi’kmaw society".
