Because I was too lazy to go out on Friday night, I ended up seeing Twelfth Night on a dampish Saturday evening in the cramped confines of SBTS’s rain space. Despite the fact that a little of the magic gets lost between outdoors and indoors, this is an A-1 production that deserves to be seen in any venue. There are a lot of beloved, familiar faces among the cast, but also some remarkable new additions. Of particular note is the magnetic, scene-stealing Scott Owen as the wise fool Feste. Mary-Fay Coady does a superb job as the gender-blending Viola and Kevin Macpherson and Kevin Kincaid form a fine comic duo as Aguecheek and Sir Toby. Any one who attended LunaSea’s all-women Twelfth Night at Christmas will enjoy analyzing just how different, yet delightful, both productions manage to be. –Kate Watson
