After 66 years in business, the Shore Club can say with some authority that it offers a unique Nova Scotian experience. The famous lobster suppers (over a million served since 1946) are still a big draw, as is Nova Scotia's "last great dance hall"—every Saturday night bringing some of the best music in the land to Hubbards.
After 66 years in business, the Shore Club can say with some authority that it offers a unique Nova Scotian experience. The famous lobster suppers (over a million served since 1946) are still a big draw, as is Nova Scotia's "last great dance hall"---every Saturday night bringing some of the best music in the land to Hubbards.
Seventy years after Hubbards’ Harnish family built The Shore Club, the community dance hall and restaurant remains a living, breathing snapshot of what the season is all about.
This coming Saturday, April 30, The Shore Club (250 Shore Club Road, 857-9555) in Hubbards reopens for it's 65th anniversary year. Known far and wide as the province's Last Great Dance Hall, the owners are proud to note the venue has featured a live band on stage every summer Saturday night since 1946, including rock, r&b, funk bands, and more.
