A play by Halifax-based French theatre company Ca cloche dans ma Caboche, by Carole Frechette, The Four Lives of Marie tells the story of a young girl who wants to write the adventures of Mary Simpson, raise four boys and four girls, walk to the Land of Fire and discover a new continent. Instead, she sells cheap shoes, writes passionate words on walls, smiles on TV and sleeps for work.
