The Life of Viola Desmond

An all-ages event giving children and adults alike the chance to learn more about civil rights icon Viola Desmond. Special guests Graham Reynolds and Wanda Robson will share snippets of their Robbie Robertson Dartmouth Book Award shortlisted effort, Viola Desmond's Canada: A History of Blacks and Racial Segregation in the Promised Land. As well, Beatrice MacDonald and some student authors behind the children's book The ABC’s of Viola Desmond will also read some of their work. Held in the Lindsay Room, on the Library's second floor.
