Dal's department of Italian and Chinese studies invite you to a full day of cross-cultural goodness in room 303 of the Student Union Building. Kicking things off? Francesco D'Arelli, director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Montréal, talks about the Italian priest who travelled to China in the 1600s, exposing the west to Confucian classics. At 6pm, a screening of the 2011 flick Shun Li and the Poet follows a Chinese migrant worker who befriends a Slavic fisherman in an Italian village.
