  • North Face to open on Barrington Street
    Shoptalk has learned Joachim Stroink, owner of The Trail Shop (6210 Quinpool Road, 423-8736), plans to open a North Face store on Barrington, in the space once occupied by Carsand Mosher (1559 Barrington). Stroink, whose Quinpool store already carries the North Face brand---including exploration apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories---intends the international brand outlet to open in August. With Mountain Equipment Co-Op (1550 Granville Street) and TAO: the Adventure Outfitters (5187 Salter Street) all within spitting distance, it makes that part of Barrington the active person's shopping paradise.
