Panel discussions remembering the only all-black military division in Canadian history, the No. 2 Construction Battalion, make up the majority of this two-day symposium. Rounded out with gala dinners, the event organizers call it a "coming together of scholars, veterans, students, community members, and descendants of the soldiers." We call it an important slice of history being deservedly discussed.
