Turtle Grove Remeberance
Halifax’s downtown wasn’t the only place shook by the sweeping harbour explosion that happened 99 years ago— the Mi’kmaq community of Turtle Grove was left obliterated in its wake. This event acts as a rememberance ceremony for the often-unmentioned site. Event organizers instruct attendees to gather at the soccer feild near Shannon Park School.
