Nice sunny day, sitting outside a cafe on Spring Garden, was relaxing until a panhandler decided to stand in front of me and tell everyone to "have a nice day." It's like listening to a parrot. He couldn't care less if you have a nice day, he just wants your change. If people would just ignore panhandlers, there would be far fewer of them. I'm sure the tourists think the whole works of us are losers.

I see it every summer. Stupid people who take their dogs out for walks in a heat wave in the middle of the day. Do you realize how hot that pavement gets on a blistering day? Your dog cannot tell you their paw pads are burning and that they're suffering. Dogs are at the mercy of the intelligence—or lack of it—of their masters.

Please put protective pawwear on your dog's paws before you make them walk for miles in the hot sun with no protection, or leave them at home where they should be. And please bring water for them, too. Today I saw a poor dog being walked with no sign of a water bottle anywhere on the person who was walking the poor animal. Hope they were close to home.

Wow. Just wow! What a clinical narcissist you are, princess! So you make a 3D ass out of yourself and we're supposed to care why? I watched your insipid video, but sorry, Hon, the driver was right! I'm a parent, and a responsible one. Your daughter's head was at seat level in that ridiculous toy! What the hell is wrong with you? Seems the driver cared more about your child than you did.

Get on a commercial flight and pull this shit! There's no difference. Seems you have a problem with a simple request to properly seat a child for safety's sake. Shame on you!!!

Listen up, arsehole on my car's bumper as we drive the Prospect Road: I'm not going any faster and you can't drive over me. You're so fucking stupid, you don't even realize that if you rear-end into my old clunker, you're automatically at fault. So suck on my middle finger, Rushy McRushRush.

Since I'm sleep-deprived from my neighbour's obnoxious children, I have time to submit this bullshit. I understand that children need to play, and some hyperactive children need to be more annoying when they play. However, just because it is the middle of the day does not mean that everyone is awake. You 9-5ers like to assume that the rest of the world is like you and that "everybody sleeps during the night and is awake during the day." How conceited can you be to forget that some people need to work during the night to provide services that—surprise, surprise—don't go to sleep when you do?

What little sleep I get is my precious escape from this miserable existence.

Do you think my sleep isn't of value because I work backshift? Maybe you do, but your kids sure don't, and by letting your kids (which are incredibly louder than the average children) make their annoying and menacing laughing (at 12pm, which is still really early), you are teaching them to disregard other people. It's bad enough that I need to drink in order to sleep during the day, I don't also need a wedge in my sleeping schedule, for what little sleep I get is my precious escape from this miserable existence.

OK, I didn't think I would have to do this or submit anything like this to The Coast, but I have to. It's the way people drive. Either they drive too slow, or they drive too fast for the conditions and are running stop signs.

I'm a professional driver who drives for a living, and the stuff happening every day on our roads is unbelievable. I've seen people cutting people off when they turned right in the middle of the highway! And don't get me started on running red lights. For the love of god, people, there's a Driver's Handbook: please read it.

Texting, yeah that's part of it, but when you're supposed to be doing a hundred on the Circ and somebody's doing 75, something's wrong. People get frustrated when people sit in the left-hand lane, under the speed limit, thinking, "This is OK, it's a 100-series highway, I can do what I want."

For all that is holy, please learn to drive. I think to the left of your steering wheel is a turn signal; it works, so you should use it. And at night turn your headlights on cuz nobody can see you with your daytime running lights on and you have no back lights.

This is for the stunned millennials at the Brunswick/Prince Street lights. When the lights turned green for traffic and you walked in front of moving traffic without a care in the world like it was your turn? I won't say you deserve to be hit by said traffic, but maybe when you reach the other side you trip on the curb and knock out your front teeth. That would be great. The no-walk hand and white person lights aren't even close to the same. Being so unaware of your surroundings is unbelievable.

I recently read in the news that HRM has plans to improve (??) the conditions at Point Pleasant Park. Basically, they want to eliminate 80,000 trees from a section of 100,000 trees in PPP. In the article, you'll see that they plan on leaving the 80,000 felled trees to rot and provide nourishment for the forest. I'm not an expert on wildfires, but I think I know enough that you need to keep the floor of the forest clear of debris. I can only think that these felled trees would create a tinderbox that will burst into flames from a discarded burning cigarette. Are they simply being cheap, so that the company awarded the contract won't have to deal with the cost of disposing of these trees? Or is there a condo developer that wants to acquire this prime piece of property, after it has been leveled by fire? Google "summer tree-thinning post-Juan."

While I was stopped on the Bedford Highway waiting to make a turn, a driver who was texting RAMMED into the back of me at 60km an hour. I had a newborn, toddler and pre-teen in the car with me. What the hell is so important that you have to fucking answer a text while operating a vehicle? All of you reading this who text and drive: You are a fucking dumbass and STOP IT. We could have all been killed. SO STOP BEING A BIG HEAD WHO THINKS THEY ARE SUCH GREAT DRIVERS AND MULTITASKERS THAT IT'S OK TO DO THIS.

All because she had to have her shit phone up her ass. DON'T BE ONE OF THESE DUMBASSES.

That's all.

To the man sitting in his car outside the Superstore in the BLIP last week: I apologized sincerely several times to you after my mini shopping cart bumped into your passenger side door. I expected grumpiness and momentary irritation (understandable) but the moment the cart touched the door, you began screaming at me. I continued to apologize but instead of accepting my regret at this minor mishap, you escalated in volume. Even once you got out of your car and saw that there was zero damage, you continued at high volume.

This is the first (and, I hope) last time a shopping cart has gotten away from me (I am well into middle age). I am thankful for both of our sakes that there was no damage to your vehicle. I am left shaking my head at your level of anger and lack of manners. A simple "It's OK but don't do it again" would have sufficed on your part.
