To the dude who plays the ukulele at the Farmer's Market,

You are adorable and your song choices are the best. I get a big dumb smile on my face each time I walk by you. Listening to your giant voice and sweet strummings is the highlight of my Saturday.

Thanks for being you.

ps. I really loved the addition of the lovely young lady on vocals today - kudos to her as well.

To the cab driver who took the time out of his day on Saturday to stop and help the anti-Scientology protesters on Dutch Village Road. Thank you so much for sticking up for us. Calling the cops and giving your statement when my fellow protester was punched in the face was inspiring. We were devastated to learn what Scientology has done to your family. We hope one day to thank you personally; people like you are the reason why we protest. <3

Thanks so much to the guy who got out of his car while waiting at a red light and ran over to give me a new grocery bag. I didn't even realize one of my bags was breaking until you said something. If it wasn't for you, it would have broken as I crossed the street and my food would have rolled into the middle of the intersection on Main St. Thank you so much for helping me out!!

Just a shout out to whoever does the baking for a certain coffee shop on South Park St. ... those giant cookies are bananas! My mom is going through chemotherapy right now, and even when she can hardly eat anything she is asking about those cookies, especially the ginger ones!

I just wanted to say thank you so much Mr. Sunshine for coming back for an encore performance...I bought a really cute dress late in the season and haven't gotten a lot of wear out of it...but now because you decided to join us again for another fabulous warm September day, I get to wear it one last time before it goes in the summer storage. You're the Best!!!

PS. please don't give us too many snow storms this winter...I really hate driving in snow...I can handle the cold...but the snow and ice are a little scary. Or at least wait for weekend snow storms so I can build snowman with my little man.

Love Your #1 Fan

Thank you big atlantic grocery store for finally bringing in frozen pyrogies to warm the heart and tummy of a former Edmontonian.

And the BEST BRAND too! AND in the giant muti-pack! (I was making do with the no-name, but this is the BEST!)

Boil 'em up first, then fry in a little butter and olive oil, spoon up some sour cream and sprinkle some chives (and my personal touch, a dab of worcestershire sauce for a bit more flavour) and mmmmmmmmmmm a perfect stick-to-your-ribs Saturday afternoon lunch.

And thank you all the nice Ukranian ladies over there at 124th Avenue who I am sure personally and lovingly hand-craft each and every one.

I'm all set for winter now. Bring on the 40-below!

Thank you so much to the girl who found my friend's phone last night at The Paragon. He was very upset, and it sort of soured his experience of Halifax thinking maybe someone stole it. Getting your phone call this morning saying you had it safe and sound completely turned both our days around. It's nice to know there are still kind hearted people out there in the city.

I always find plenty complain about as it relates to the bus...but the driver I had last week on the 18 was excellent!, she British, blond and very friendly, she made the bus wait go quick by just being so bright! we need more bus drivers like her!
