He was exactly what I always wanted, never what I needed. He was wrong for me and I for him but God damn did it ever feel right. He always possessed some kind of draw an appeal that I've never been able to shake. The animal in me was peeked whenever he was near. His scent intoxicatingly lingered on my skin reminding me of the moments we shared and the ones I desperately wish we had. With every touch I was hungry. His skin brushing mine made my heart race with anticipation. My anticipation was usually met with disappointment. He had the control distance and cool detachment I lacked. In spite of this, for brief moments we'd forget and he'd let down his guard. We gave into our animal instincts and succumb to our desires. His fingertips gracing my flesh made me warm, gasping released from my thoughts and morals I took him into me. These moments were amazing, life altering and ground shaking. But that's all they'll ever be; moments in time. Because you'll never really love me. —Always be your friend

Thank you, thank you, thank you plus 1000 times to the person who found my wallet on Gottingen street yesterday and turned it in and to the person (you know who you are) who called my parents—I hope Karma blesses you both in the following days for your amazing good deed. —Little Lost Wallet Girl

Thank you for finally staying away. I still have crazy love for you, but I know now that you never really planned on giving us a chance. So thanks, because I am glad to be free of that hellish limbo. —Myself again

I knew you were the one the day I met you but everyday I am reminded of what a great man you are when I see you coming home with a fresh bottle of Pepsi. —Love always, Your Pepsi Girl xo

Ever notice how Canadian change doesn't work in US vending machines, but US change does work in Canadian vending machines, parking meters, bridge baskets, etc? This is due to how historically the US dollar has always for the most part been higher than the loonie and these things are manufactured with this in mind. I know it sucks for a lot of people for the most part including me that the Canadian dollar is so high especially for tourism and people trying to export Canadian goods competitively. I know that 3 cents on the dollar isn't a lot but I still get a nice warm feeling when I unload my US change into these things. —Sticking it to the man 3 cents at a time

Dear Halifax music lovers, thank you for coming to find out more about the academy at the workshop and starting an immediate dance party for ANGO and PRISON GARDE. All of the artists can't wait to come back to Halifax. —Melly

I love the way you cushion me and comfort me, let me flop all over you. You press me in all the right places and when the time is right, you cover me totally and let me slip into blissful unconsciousness. Bed, I fucking love you. —Aurora

Thank you to all the fans sitting near us during the AUS basketball tournament last weekend. It was my 7 year old son's first chance to see basketball at the Metro center. It was the best bonding experience I could ask for. He got to cheer his little heart out, boo, clap, yell. He got to dance in the seats, win prizes. He got to sit on my lap and get sleepy and tell me it was the best night ever. Yet despite all his jumping yelling and more there were nothing but smiles from the fans around us, the lovely girls at the booth security at the Metro centre, and even the slightly drunk university girl who bumped into him and then kissed him on the head to say she was sorry.

It's people like that that make it worth it to come out and not just watch the games on TV. It's people like that who give us such great memories. Hope to see you all again at the CIS championships. You made our weekend great. THANKS! —Basketball Father

Ever since I've met you, you've intrigued me. You are such a smart, funny, lively individual and I could listen to you talk for hours. I'm so happy I've gotten to know you and I can't help but wish we could become something more than just friends. You've turned my world back around. I'd even spend an entire day listening to RnB grooves with you as long as I'd get to see that smile and hear that fucking wonderful laugh of yours. I wish I could tell you how I felt... let's break the seal together. —Your very own, real life Olive Pendergast

Just gotta say, Halifax has the most supportive, friendly theatre scene. Small but powerful, and filled with amazing people. With a ton of great shows going up this month, I just wanted to point out how in general the community is incredibly mutually supportive, and people from more established companies will go out of their way to support emerging artists and groups. Thank you, Halifax! Let's go see some plays! —Front row
