100s of hours prepping professional documents for your highly esteemed, world recognized, Organization. One phone call and you blame me saying, "the onus is on me to confirm receipt" when you blatantly stated "Don't call us, we'll call you".

You discriminated against me and most likely prevented me from getting solid work; then you had the gall to say it was my fault.

Halifax, if you want to be world class, be world class, take ownership and do not blame us poor peons working so hard for you. You are a world class organization and choose to be an over entitled public tax paying entity.

You say you will be fair...I wish I could say otherwise but I do not trust you. —Holden Caulfield P. L.

As a local to the north end I always try to support the community, enjoy the food, live music and culture. Unfortunately its near impossible to get any kind of acceptable service. Such a good feels place, it wouldn't be hard to improve...Are these guys getting paid in beer!? 5 strikes, you're nearly out —A true patio lover

Me: the bride on my bachelorette party
You: a random man who gave me a few puffs of a joint
Apparently you thought it was okay to pull me backwards a few feet by my hair in order to get my attention. I want you to know that you hurt me and that what you did was not okay. Thanks for sharing your j, but that doesn't give you a right to touch me, let alone assault me. Go fuck yourself. —Sore Scalp

Why is my current romantic aspiration to find a someone who will have the decency to cheat on me with someone who is at least a little bit attractive? —my bile tastes like yard sale

I have tons of respect for bus drivers. They deal with gross shit, disrespect and crap upon crap. HOWEVER when the union rep gets up in arms about a possible rail service, this is where I draw the line. The bus system is in place to help the public and to serve transportation needs. A rail system here would take pressure off the congested highways, be comfortable, more spacious, safer for winter travel and help people who live in remote areas. There is nothing negative about it! Except that it may result in less new hires for transit buses. Halifax Transit is not an employment program. It is a service for the benefit of HRM residents. We need to be way more progressive and green in our transportation issues. Stop bitching. —Thomas the Tank Engine

I work at a grocery store that recently changed how much it charges for bags. This grocery store is already more expensive than most other food store in Halifax, yet customers are constantly yelling at the cashiers about an extra 25 cents for a bag?  Cashiers are making minimum wage at a job where they're on their feet the whole day; they have NO influence over the store's pricing policies. Getting mad at them and going on and on about exactly why you refuse to pay for a bag or think it's horrible that stores charge for them accomplishes nothing but making your cashier's day just a little bit shittier. You don't want to pay for a bag? Don't take a bag! Or bring your own! —It's really very simple!

It has become unbelievably impossible to find housing in and around HRM. Let me rephrase that...it's becoming impossible to find reasonably priced housing that isn't catered to students.
I'm astounded at the expectations of landlords these days, you honestly want $1,700 for a townhouse that doesn't even have a yard? You cant slap on a little crown moulding and call it Versailles, Halifax. Smarten up. Working full-time and affording to live anywhere these days seems to be impossible, especially when you have animals! Charging western Canada prices with a shit economy, and shittier minimum wage is ridiculous. No wonder people keep leaving this province, they have nowhere to live! —Homeless in Halifax

Downtown Halifax is losing the sky. Progress is good, but the relentless building up is costing us the view. Enough already. Let the blue shine through! —Bluenoser

Dear Ex-Employer; When you promise someone full time hours, and then consistently give them 25 hours per week, don't be so surprised when they quit without notice when an opportunity to actually pay their rent presents itself. Your sob story about how you're going to cover my shifts rings hollow when I know that most of my (former) co-workers are crying for more hours. I guess you have your reasons for hiring more part timers rather than giving the people who want it full time work. Maybe just try being honest about what you're offering. —Sorry Not Sorry

Your soggy gross kid eating a pudding without a spoon, hiding in the back of the bus away from you, wiping pudding in the gross fabric of the seats, then hiding said pudding cup underneath the seat in front, then you, the "parents" changing the diaper of your other kid... on the bus. Seriously. WTF?! Another lovely journey on the hell bound vehicle we call Metro Transit... to some people the world is just one giant garbage dump. —Helen of Halifax
