I recently have taken to task people posting meme's about white privilege is the reason why the white rapist was given a higher sentence for the "same" crime committed by a black man. This isn't the case. the black man was convicted on 5 counts of a higher charge but was given a retrial because one of the jurors was a victim of statutory rape and the defence knew it was their only saving grace. they then went to trial on 3 lesser counts of sexual assault because they couldn't convict him a second time on the original charges. the sentencing took into account the 5 counts he was already convicted of. Second thing people have been complaining about. 6 months is not enough for a sentence. This is a case of people not having a CLUE about judicial proceedings. It is well within a judge's capabilities to offer less than statute sentencing, after deliberating with the WEIGHT of all evidence presented to them. Let me tell you that WOMEN are given as the NORM vs the exception lesser sentences for rape and sexual assault. in fact, I looked on a website of women convicted of sex attacks on minors and men, that they often got less than 4 months for similar crimes. only on the ones that involved children younger than 11 did they match times given to men. To all SJW's out there that post a meme that is factually inaccurate. you are morally and ethically bankrupt if you are doing this. You are disingenuous when you post these things. you are lying with inaccurate "evidence" that is easily looked into. Stop making interpretations and using conjecture and accusations to silence someone who is trying to correct you for it. If you want support for your cause...STOP FUCKING LYING. I am not a feminist, but do strongly believe in equality. This not a bitch ranting on men or women, just to the idiots out there who don't truly understand equality. I am a female manager in the auto industry "traditional male role". My company strongly believes in diversity, which is one of the reasons I joined the team, and it's truly a great company to work for. Our company is trying to make sure we have a lot of female managers and males of visible minorities being promoted.... and they've done a great job at it! We now even have a team focused on just this, and developing such individuals to be promoted. From someone who believes in equality, this focus groups and sessions are bullshit!! In no way are you focusing on obstacles we may face on a daily basis (sexual harassment, family planning, work/life balance etc. No, you the Caucasian male leading this group thinks it's a great idea to give us additional tools to help us out beat the Caucasian male during interviews. So one of the busiest areas of the city in terms of traffic doesn't have push buttons for pedestrians. Having recently moved here I'm amazed at the complete lack of planning that goes into this city. So I was thinking of a "how-to" in order to deal with the crop of SJW's that seem to infest every facet of our lives these days. To start, I am all for raising awareness of issues. But when awareness is required, I EXPECT objectiveness. I expect a modicum of rational thought. when an opinion is put in place of fact or evidence, I take exception to that. So, when talking to a SJW, I have found that when you differ from their opinion, and state they are wrong about an particular tidbit, despite that they KNOW you actually support the issue they are so passionate about..they often demand imperical evidence. "SOURCE!! EVIDENCE!! FACTS!!" okay just let me pull my cellphone out and use my data just to satisfy you. like I hadn't already researched it before. and even THEN, if you have the necessary evidence to back your point up..they refute it because it doesn't fit what they want to believe....its just bonkers to think that way. SJW's grow up. Please. Shouting and screaming and stifling any sort of debate doesn't make you "right" in fact it just makes you look stupid, look like an asshole and anyone with any REAL sense can see right through you. —Icky

What's the deal with this place? For such a small city it has terrible traffic. Why because these locals have no idea how to drive. A third of them are in no rush on a joy ride waiving everyone through to be "polite", a third are transit and commercial vehicles who think they own the road; then the rest. Who drive like maniacs, race to redlights, cut others off and drive erratically and selfishly. If people just followed the rules of the road everyone would get where they need to be and on time. —What the beep?
