Justin Trudeau aims to double the number of Syrian refugees, and he is on track to doubling the deficit, too. Here is my question: PM Trudeau, when are you going to double the pay out to veterans? We could use some help here, ya know. —All Shot Up

Way to go, you aces of snow removal. It has been one snowfall and you have already managed to fuck it up. Where is the salt? Where is the actual snow removal? All I see are sidewalks with snow pushed down into the pavement so that it is slippery. You are again relying on foot traffic and weather to melt the snow for you, but that doesn't work in places where people aren't constantly walking around. Nothing is cleared properly even though there has been plenty of time to go back and re-do the areas that were swiped over in the initial snowfall. We are getting more snow today that will just get shoved down onto the rest of it—more terrifying sidewalks in the making. It has been one fucking day, please don't drop the ball this soon. I can't handle another winter like the last one. It snows every year here—every fucking year. I don't understand how it still manages to catch the city off guard.

I laugh at many of the bus bitches because most of the bitchers don't get some very basic things:
1.) Buses never, repeat never come early. This is a no, no and a driver can get in trouble for it. Buses do come late due to many different factors. I have heard that drivers will get sent home if they do not have a watch, and that watch must have the correct time
2.) Drivers are not allowed to pick-up passengers if they are pulling away from the curb into traffic. I believe this is a traffic violation.
3.) No matter how special you think you are; you're not allowed to eat on the bus.

I think it's pretty dumb that a certain newspaper published a "How to Hangover Brunch on New Year's Guide" and didn't include a list of restaurants that would be open on New Year's Day! This hangover is really hitting me hard and finding out where to get those greasy eggs seems like a herculean effort right now. —Hungover Haligonian

They caught the affluenza teen and his enabling mother in Mexico after they had a going away not to go to jail because the said teen broke a ten year probation for driving drunk and killing four people party. The said teen's parents are so rich and enabling to their SPOILED BRAT son that the defense lawyers cooked up a syndrome for the poor bugger. Well how many lives has Bill Cosby murdered over the years? I'm willing to bet there are more and they will probably come out. Looks good on you, you son of a bitch. Rot in hell. You have enjoyed yourself at the expense of women hopefully for the last time. How do you like us now? —And you're ugly to boot

This is for all the ones who have the nerve to assume right way that some are racist just because they don't approve of all the support the refugees are getting.
You have no room to say that to the people who care more about our own than helping new comer's. Just because some are mad they are getting more help than Canadians does not make you racist.
They have every right to be mad and upset about the help they are getting. They are just upset seeing all that help just because they came from a bad situation.
So next time you see someone upset over the help they get remind yourself it does not make one racist. The person has every right to there view on the topic just like the ones who support them getting that help.
Try to remember there are some honest poor here really trying to better themselves but are not getting as much support as the refugees. —Not everyone is racist because of how they feel

Big shout out of thanks to the kind hearted and responsible homeowners who took the time to shovel their portion of the sidewalks this evening. There weren't many but those that did it we certainly appreciated. Also, an equally big fuck you to Mosher and her fucked up idea to make Haligonians not responsible for shoveling their portion of the sidewalk and making it the responsibility of the lowest bidder. —Cranky

Its important to recognize that yes, gender shaming is bad, but, gender shaming doesn't just happen to "cis white men", its not often that someone is harmed (to any degree) strictly on the basis of being "cis male", atleast not as often as other gender identities . I think its also important to consider that when men and boys get harmed with respect to their gender its usually because society does not value a man/ boy who is not masculine/ powerful/ alpha. . Im not advocating gender shaming, but if cis-male hurts, then you are only beginning to know the struggle of women and queer folk alike.

Employers, it's common courtesy to advise all candidates you've interviewed when you chose someone else for the job. Especially after they've followed up. It's simple, and no one is left hanging. —Me

i hate cocaine, i hate what it does to people.
I hate that I'm considered worse than some fucking rockstar that actually literally fucked other men while in a relationship.
I hate the updown, the 'sorry, i was hurt'....we talk, we conclude, then suddenly I'm disgusting to you again, and yet you still tell me you love me the very next morning. I very much want this to work out....i will stick by you through thick and thin, I will help you become healthy if you want that.......but holy fuck I have my emotional limits.
Once. ONCE more.
I don't know why I even say that, i know how it goes.
and so it goes. —heart broken and smooshed
