To a certain family member who makes Christmas stockings in her spare time. You asked around, wondering who wanted a home-made stocking. When I requested you make one for my boyfriend, you snarkily asked me if we would even still be together by the time the stocking was finished. Then you flat out refused to make it because apparently it was a waste of time and yarn, making him one when he soon won't even be in the picture! Wow, what an pessimist you are! I know you say this because I've had a history of short lived relationships, but after meeting so many frogs, I finally found my Prince. We have been together for almost two years now. What, don't have your own man to make a stocking for? Dried up prune who can't even do a good deed for me at Christmas. Fuck you! —Don't need your stocking anyway

Why does Christmas fucking suck every year. The shitty music, the shitty movies. Nothing is fucking open for days. Everything is locked up tighter than a fart. You can't even get a package of cigarettes. The liquor store is closed and the scum sucking drug dealer wont answer his phone. FUCK ALL YA'LL MERRY MUTHERFUCKERS!!! Wake me up on January 3rd. —This is some bullfuck!

This is an apology/call for more flashing crosswalk lights. To the pedestrian crossing on North Street last night in the rain: I am very sorry that I drove through the crosswalk - I honestly did not see you starting to cross on the other side, and traffic was so backed up that I didn't realize the cars in the other direction were stopped for you. That was my bad and I didn't realize until I had gone through the walkway. I'm sorry. I'm usually hyper vigilant and will be extra cautious now. This was a marked crosswalk but I really wish all marked crosswalks had flashing lights - if there are already lights on the crosswalk, wouldn't it be easier to add some flashing lights? —Apologetic driver

OK, right of the bat, I want to say that white males have done many horrible things over the millennia. I understand the whole privilege thing. Yes, we have been privileged. What I don't get is the shaming of those of us that care to identify as cisgender males. It is happening. It is wrong. —Cisgender male

Why I Hate Living in Halifax: this city is dirty; cigarette butts by the thousands outside of businesses and at bus stops. I hate the motorists who speed, go through red lights, fail to yield and tailgate. Morons all of them. No wonder CFA's refer to this place as Stupidville —Monty

So sorry if I frightened you sir.—No brakes..was scared

I hate that I can't make or sustain any real friendships. That I am afraid of people, in general. That therapy, medication and even hospitalization haven't been able to make me into someone able to connect with others in a friendly, mutually-enjoyable way. That the advice to "love yourself" is unfathomable in the complete absence of friendships. Another Christmas and New Year without hope. And no, I don't openly say this stuff to anyone in real life, beyond therapy. I am too aware and busy practicing smiling at people, asking open-ended questions and trying not to fall apart. —Hurting

To those companies that rely on "just in time employees,” well there is shock coming your way since you refuse to give full time positions or reasonable hours to those who work or try to work for you. These people, the ones that work for you, cannot afford to buy your products so they take the meager wages you give them and spend it elsewhere. Cool, huh? You pay them, your sales go down, there hours go down, but your competition wins. I think it’s funny that companies think this way and are bewildered when they find out they’re losing money. Race to the bottom. —Retail Smartie

HEY YOU. You hit my friend's car last night at around 3:00 or 4:00am on Willow St, and left a massive dent in the front of it with no note or anything. I've been taking care of her car as she is out of the country, and you have 1. ruined her vacation 2. are costing me a disgusting amount of money for your mistake and 3. made me lose faith in human kind. THE ONE TIME I park on the street and you hit it. I hope you understand how awful that is of you, and I hope you feel terribly guilty about it. If you want to clear you conscience I suggest you reach out to me to fix this. If anyone saw anything last night or has any information at all about this please let me know. I really don't have money to pay for someone else's error, and that person should not be able to get away with this. The car that hit it probably has a broken head light as there was pieces all around her car this morning when I found it. —Broke, Angry, but willing to forgive if you come forward
