OK, so you unfriended me on Facebook. The message you sent describing why baffles me. "I can no longer in good conscience remain your friend, knowing that you do not hold in your heart our Lord Jesus Christ. It's important that I and my children are not exposed to non-believers and their sinful ways.”  Seriously? Even though I am atheist, I was fine with your choice in religious beliefs, as they had no impact on our friendship. Sure, I ignored all of your posts claiming "one like=one prayer" for children starving in Africa. I prefer engaging in right actions in real life over random clicks on meaningless FB posts, but clearly this was not what you wanted from me. I'm not sure what "sinful" acts I am accused of; surely having a different belief system is not so threatening? I admit that I don't get the kinds of religions in which what you believe in is more important than your actions in your daily life. Wielding Jesus as a shield to justify hateful comments seems contradictory to me. So you unfriended me. That's okay. I'll find some open minded, tolerant, right-acting instead of right-believing friends to fill your place. —One like=nothing in the grand scheme of things

Raw oysters—I don't see the appeal. They taste OK, I guess. The experience of eating them is just awful though—cold lumpy phlegm sliding down the back of your throat. Aphrodisiac, my ass—unless gagging on slimy fish mucus is sexy to you. Gross. —I tried to like them, really I did

Simply put, Halifax drivers dob't know how to drive. Too much courtesy is as good as no courtesy at all. Don't stop and let stupid people cross the street outside of crosswalks. Take a page from Quebec and learn how to drive. —Blais

What is wrong with you people?! You all think you are so open-minded and considerate yet look at this ridiculous controversy. Having group homes in your community means that your neighbourhood is a safe liveable place. The people living and working in group homes are wonderful, kind people and great neighbours. They're the ones that come over with baked goods on your kid's birthday, the ones who water your plants or feed your cat when you're on vacation. They don't throw big loud parties in the middle of the night, they don't leave garbage out to rot on their property, they don't renovate their house or mow the lawn at 6 in the morning... That is more than I can say for most of my neighbours so what is your problem Dartmouth? Do you think disabilities are contagious?? Or are you seriously just that much of an intolerant bigoted asshole??? Looks like you're the bad neighbor here! —wtf

I park in a big parking lot today, it was empty and there was a sign that read private parking, assumed it was for those spots in the back, I guess I didn't think much of it. 20 minutes later, back to the car I found a boot, quick like that, unnecessary like that. Called the number, asked if there's anything I could do about it, nope, paid 115 dollars. I can't remember spending so much money for 20 minutes of anything ever in my life. Anyway, I go inside the store to if nothing can be done to my case that at least they reconsidered the this way of dealing with the lot, I felt like this was a bit much. Meet the said Owner of this place, what a delight, mind you I kept a very polite and low tone.
- Hey, I just got booted
- I'm sorry about that
- Nothing that can be done about that right?
- No, not really
- Ok, well you see as a student I don't have this kind of money. This is going on my credit card now, it's a big hit. I'd suggest you could go a different way about this parking enforcement. It feels abusive.
She turned defensive...
- We do that because teenagers (because I'm younger I guess she wanted to target me?) park there to go to Tim Horton's and when I tell them not to park here because it's for the customers they say they don't care.
- I understand but there was so much space, I've parked there for 20 minutes and I had to pay 115 dollars, isn't it a bit abusive?
- Well, did you learn anything from it?
- Not really, I just learned that some people...
I was about to say some people are very money driven and forget that there's a lot more to it. And although legal, it's not the coolest way of doing business you know. It was an empty parking lot. But she interrupted me:
- You're a dickhead then.
BOOM, JUST LIKE THAT.
- Did you just call me a dickhead? - I said that laughing, couldn't even believe this conversation I was havingI w
- I was trying to help you?
- How so?
- I asked you if you hadn't learned anything from it and you said nothing. So obviously...
- Wait, so you said you helped me by giving me a life lesson? I'm sorry are you the owner of this place? What's your name?
- V., you can go ahead and write whatever you want.
I don't think I said much after this, because it was clear this was going nowhere. I'm 22 years old and although still very immature, but this middle-aged business owner on a Wednesday morning, took being silly to a whole new level. I'm not gonna call you anything but silly, V. You're just...

Stop speeding on the damn bridges. Drive carefully, pay attention to your surroundings (and that doesn't include your cell phone). Speed limit may be 70 on McKay, 50 on the McDonald (for those of you that don't know) but it doesn't mean that there won't be people stopped in the middle of the bridge... especially during rush hour. So STOP. SLOW DOWN. It's not that hard. Leave early. Stop putting other's lives in danger. What would you prefer? Spending $1000 in damages or getting shit from your boss? Really though. The bridges are suspended in the air above the mother fucking ocean. Be sensible. —Concerned About Strangers Who Piss Me Off and Slow Me Down

Here's a full hearted "fuck you" to the old couple at Crystal Crescent, Monday, who wouldn't back up 15 feet to help clear a traffic bottle neck. All other drivers understood they needed to back up if we wanted to get out of there, but the Old Bat kept asking "Why aren't those people moving? Why should we have to move?" The husband driver let his wife do the talking and the fuckers didn't move. Eventually, without their cooperation, we got things moving. Thanks to those who put it in reverse and, again, Fuck You, to those that didn't. ASSHOLES. —Just Trying to Get Things Moving
